After condensation soaked through our client’s single skin storage area and damaged the valuable mobility scooters below, we were called in to help.
After carefully inspecting the two roofs, we concluded overcladding—applying a second skin to the roof system—would offer the best long-term protection against the weather. This would not only stop condensation but also cover over any water entry points.
Using a spacer screwed through into the main purlins below, we inserted 100mm of fibreglass with a vapour barrier on top then a 0.7mm profiled sheet with a 20-year manufacturer’s guarantee.
Naturally, our client was delighted with his two weatherproofed roofs, especially since the job came in on time and within budget.
